Get out and explore nature on the off-property trails that take you deep into the woods and around the cool waters of the creek.  If you're looking for more rugged terrain you can blaze your own trails through the acres and acres of woods. Thunder K Ranch is surrounded by miles of trails for your exploration and pleasure.

Bring your Kayak, Canoe, or Paddle Board and head to one of the many lakes and ponds that surround your campsite.  We are minutes away from Ashuelot River Forest, Long Pond Town Forest, Pillsbury State Park and Reservation, Gunnison Lake, Lake Sunapee, Mt Sunapee State Park, and many more.

No better place to "horse around" than Thunder K Ranch.  Horses are what we do best!   You can schedule a trail ride and basic lesson with us and hit the trail for a ride through the woods.  $65.00 - $85.00 per hour, per person.  No previous horse experiences necessary.  These are guided trail rides and the maximum riders at one time are 3. The Equine Inherent Risk Law applies.

There's no better place to test your lumberjacking skills then in the woods of New Hampshire while you're enjoying your stay on the ranch.  We have a WATL (World Axe Throwing League) lane setup if you would like to schedule some time during your stay to throw Axes.  Compete against each other or just have fun.  Lane scheduling is $20.00 hour and an additional $20.00 for a basic lesson in throwing.   We supply the proper axes.  If you have your own, you're more than welcome to bring them along.  It's a great way to relax and add to your camping experience.

We also have a log target set up that you can play with free of charge.  Axes are not provided with the log target.  

Thunder K Ranch supports and defends our 2nd Amendment rights as American's and as an FFL Dealer.  We sell firearms and ammunition and run an online firearms store.   During your stay with us, if you would like to "plink" around our gun range you can schedule range time for $20.00 an hour, per person.  We follow all New Hampshire and Federal gun laws.  With that said, NH is a constitutional carry State, although you are not required to have a permit to own or carry (open or concealed) a firearm in NH, you must be at least 18 years of age to legally possess a firearm.   

We have steel targets and gongs, self-healing torso's and targets, stands for paper targets, and a rotating "Texas" star.  The range is equipped with a loading table and shooting table.  Paper targets can be purchased at the range and/or you can bring your own.  You can choose from various distances between 5 to 20 yards to shoot from.  If you have a long gun, we have a short distance (50 yard) range as well.  It is the shooters responsibility to bring their own eye and hearing protection.  Ammunition is not provided by Thunder K Ranch but can be purchased here if you need it.  We carry most of the popular cartridges (9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, 223/5.56 Nato).  If you need a specific quantity and cartridge, we can have that ready for you when you get here (we just need 14 days' notice to place the order - paid for in advance).  You can book in advance or talk to us when you get here.
